Promethean Warranty and Support Policies

Promethean provides a five year parts warranty when system is installed by a certified installer such as FirstTech (three years if not). Note that the warranty does not include on-site visits or labor coverage, only hardware.

Promethean offers person-to-person troubleshooting assistance via their toll-free help desk, 1-888-652-2848. The majority of problems can be diagnosed and solved in this way. Promethean's warranty assumes that parts are user installable. For schools with experienced support staff this is generally workable. However, some schools do not have this capability. FirstTech is happy to assist you as needed. See our rates below.

We make every effort to make sure initial problems are addressed before we consider the installation complete. Should problems arise, FirstTech guarantees the installations we perform for thirty days. Certain fees may apply.

On-Site Support Policies and Rates

Schools within 20 miles of FirstTech
1-14 days -- initial problems. No charge
15-30 days -- $25 on site service fee
31 days plus -- $50 on site fee, plus $120 per hour labor rate (30 minute minimum)

Schools 21-50 miles of FirstTech
1-14 days -- initial problems. No charge
15-30 days -- $50 on site fee
31 days plus -- $50 on site fee, plus drivetime billed at $40 per hour, plus $120 per hour labor rate (one hour minimum)

Schools over 50 miles of FirstTech
1-14 days -- initial problems. Drive-time billed at $40 per hour. No charge for labor
15-30 days -- $50 on site fee. Drive-time billed at $40 per hour
31 days plus -- $50 on site fee, plus drive-time at $50 per hour, plus $120 per hour labor rate (one hour minimum)

No Problem Found Policy
Should FirstTech be called on-site and no problem is found, the charge will be $90 plus the drive-time fee as shown above.
